9mm Short Stroke Conversion Kit for JPSCS2-9 Silent Captured Spring This conversion kit allows the changeover of any existing Gen-2 4-mass 9mm Silent Captured Spring (JPSCS2-9) to a 5-mass short stroke version. The complete package includes the following: 5-mass slider steel mass 5x replacement o-rings snap ring spare buffer retention screw chamber flag instruction sheet The 9mm Short Stroke Version provides the same reliable buffering as our other 9mm SCS models but with a shorter overall stroke. Designed for competitors looking for every edge, this model offers snappier cycling with even less felt recoil thanks to the shorter stroke. Note that because of its shorter travel, a short stroke Silent Captured Spring will not actuate the bolt catch on 9mm carbine receivers unless you have the current version of our 9mm bolt assembly. But, as our PCC stars always say, if you run your mag. empty at a match, you've done something wrong. Plus, the superior cycling more than makes up for it. Compatibility The JPSCS2-9SS-4/5K will only convert Gen-2 9mm SCS systems and is not compatible with Gen-1 SCS’s. The 9mm Enhanced Version provides the same buffering mass as our standard 9mm SCS. At the same time, we've increased overall bolt mass slightly with more room for increased weight if needed. The result is even softer recoil thanks to a further delay in blowback. The Enhanced Version 9mm SCS is the best option for reliability and durability with hotter ammunition. It's also the best pairing for use with non-JP bolt assemblies where a central mass needs to be removed.
