The SI JCOMP Gen2 is the classic Type 89 compensator re-engineered and updated for the 21st century for AK-47 models. Due to end user feedback, the favorite features of the original are retained, but the J Comp now features increased muzzle rise compensation and is available in 7.62x39mm. The J-COMP concept comes from the Type 89 Japanese assault rifle used by the Japan Self-Defense Forces, the Japan Coast Guard's Special Security Team units, and the Special Assault Team. Introducing the new Strike Pistol Linear Compensator. Designed for any 9mm handgun's threaded barrel (1/2x28) this Linear Compensator is a multi-piece system that redirects the concussive force and muzzle flash forward. It also helps keep your weapon light clean and free of any carbon which often cakes onto flashlight lenses - it's even tunable in length! At only 1.87 oz in weight, our comp is not only lightweight it's also the first of its kind to provide a solution within such a compact package. In total there are six parts to this product. A base hub for direct thread, three short body pieces, one long body piece, an end cap, o-rings (to place between each section for anti-rotation), and a locking nut. With its modularity, you decide how long or short you want your blast shield to be. The Strike Pistol Linear Comp does exactly what it's designed to do. However, depending on the pistol platform the recoil guide rod spring may need to be tuned. This is due to the increased weight at the end of the barrel, which may cause a shift in the lock-up timing. Therefore, some trial and error may be needed. During our testing, a G17/19 functioned well with an OEM recoil spring assembly when running the full length configuration of our Pistol Linear Comp. In order to run the full length while using all provided bodies, the guide rod may have to tuned with a different spring weight. Other pistol brands and their platforms' performance may also vary. We offer the PLC in anodized black, matte silver, and gold. The Strike Industries Jam Nut now gives you an easier way to assist in the installation and especially timing of a muzzle device. Thread the Jam Nut onto the barrel followed by the muzzle device. Once you have your muzzle device timed how you want it, turn the Jam Nut until its up against your muzzle device and lock it down. Available in 1/2"-28 TPI (.223/5.56) thread pitch for just about any application. Also a replacement part for the Jam Nut that is included in the Strike Industries Miller Comp. The Strike Industries Mass Driver Compensator (MDC) represents a quantum leap in compensator design. Current designs have largely been unchanged since the 1930s. It’s about time for something revolutionary. The Mass Driver name is inspired by the idea of theoretical mass driver engines in space travel. By ejecting mass, an equal and opposite reaction is generated propelling the space vehicle forward. The Mass Driver Compensator is driven by the hot gasses expelled through the barrel after the round is discharged, and acts as a counter balance system to attenuate mechanical recoil. Barrel mounted compensators add reciprocating mass and increase the moment of inertia to the operating system, which can have a negative effect on reliable cycling of recoil operated handguns. By separating the compensator from the operating components after ignition, the MDC allows for close to stock cyclic speeds, and reduces reciprocating mass. The compensator of the MDC system has a widened bore to reduce baffle strikes and keyholing rounds along with a 2.5mm relief cut at the top of the rear to reduce “lipping” and damage to the face of the pistol slide. Threaded Barrels: Yes, the Mass Driver Comp is compatible with most GLOCK™ aftermarket threaded barrels. We've tested with majority of the popular brands on the market but not all. However we recommend use with non-threaded barrels if possible.
