The Red spring is commonly used in 9mm, 6.8 SPC, 6.5 Grendel, .450 BM, .450 SOCOM, .500 Beowulf, and Colt LE6920’s specimen carbines, but certain specimen gunscan deviate from the norm depending upon port values and the power factor of your chosen ammunition loads. Color Coded RED.

NOTES: The RED spring is appropriate for moderately gassed .308 / 6.5 CM / .260 Rem heavier caliber carbine platforms using AR-10 / SR-25 Pattern (Armalite, LMT, LaRue, KAC, etc. receiver extensions and 3.25” carbine buffers. NOT for use in “DPMS Pattern”.308 Carbines using standard 7" deep M4 extension tubes and short, 2.5” buffers. (Use our "ORANGE” Spring" for that specific platform approach application.)

General Informations

Why do we assign "COLORS" to our buffer springs? We have tens of thousands of buffer springs in various stages of enhancement or in inventory in our facility. This practice is beneficial to both you as the end user and for our employees to identify for quality control and fulfillment. We use Dykem® Opaque Metal Staining Dye to color code the springs, (not rattle can spray paint) during the QC and packaging process. This practice has become the standard industry reference for our different springs. Should you encounter fishy looking deals on internet auction sites, please send us an image for product validation, as there have been a very small intrusion of color coded imposters floating around from time to time that to the trained eye, are glaringly apparent from their advertising images and/or descriptions.

Sprinco buffer springs are made from high quality Chrome Silicon wire stock which is used in a variety of applications from Formula One to motor valve springs which can see up to 15,000,000 compression cycles in a single race.

• Hard plastic tube packaging for protected transport and easy storage (Tubes make great storage compartments for all sorts of gear)
